International scientific conference of young scientists “To dig or not to dig: Invasive and Non-invasive methods in Archaeology”

We invite you to participate in the  international scientific conference of young scientists “To dig or not to dig: Invasive and Non-invasive methods in Archaeology”, which will be held on October 11—13, 2019 in the Institute of Archaeology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (Kyiv, Heroiv Stalinhrada, 12).

The topic of the conference is focused on the balance between the traditional archaeological research strategy through the destruction and the prospect of preserving archaeological sources, in particular, through the usage of non-invasive methods. The event aims to promote the communication between young scientists in the field, exchange of scientific experiences of different generations of archaeologists.

Directions of work:
– methods of initial analysis of archaeological sources;
– data interpretation;
– formation and development of archaeological research methodology;
– invasive and non-invasive methods in the field of cultural heritage protection.

Working languages – Ukrainian, English.
The form of participation is oral report with presentation.

An application and abstract should be send untill April 15, 2019.
