There are approximately 60 IT companies in Lviv that work in the sphere of software development,software outsourcing and web development. The biggest part of IT companies are experienced in working with European and American customers,for instance – Boeing (BA), DaimlerChrysler (DCX), General Electric (GE), Citibank (C), and NASA. The most famous Lviv IT companies have Ukrainian owners –SoftServe has more than 2500 programmers,  Eleks has more than 800 programmers.

It is investigated that the pace of the development of the IT industry in 2014-2015 will be 20%, which means that there will be approximately 200 qualified IT professionals needed per year.
